Coca-Cola Life, the one with stevia

Coca-Cola Life, the one with stevia

I don’t know if you know the news: there is this new green Coca-Cola, I say the label, the drink has the usual caramel color. It is a new product from Coca-Cola , sweetened with stevia (hence the pistachio green of the label) and that’s it. It is called Coca-Cola Life. However, it is generally not often found in stores.

So has Coca-cola turned into a health drink?
Well, not really.

COCA COLA LIFE: WHAT DOES IT CONTAIN?

First of all, this “green” version of Coca-cola is not sweetened with stevia only, probably because the taste would not have convinced consumers. It is therefore sweetened with a mix of normal sugar and stevia, so it has a third fewer calories: 89 this is the Coca-cola Life against the 139 of the traditional one. Ergo, it’s two-thirds sweetened with regular sugar, but that’s a little publicized detail.

In fact, the Italian newspapers are starting to give the news badly, at least according to the title: Coca-cola without sugar is coming !
This is not true, as we have seen. 89 calories of sugar is a huge amount, however. And the last thing we need is to add calories to our diet. Remember this.

So I can’t drink it? If you find it and want to try it, but you have blood sugar problems and haven’t survived an hour of running, my advice is to drink Coca-Cola Life with a protein food. For example in a meal with grilled chicken breast and vegetables, ending with a small, low-sugar fruit, such as a kiwi. In this way we will not have problems with glycemic load.
