The world of gaming computers is dotted with many brands, many of which over time have specialized in precise components, allowing users who like to build their own Desktop PC to experiment with various brands. Among these is always ASUS , capable of improving from year to year by continuing to produce many of the individual pieces dedicated to PC gaming , passing from Video Cards to Motherboards, arriving at headphones, mice and keyboards. Yet now gaming is not only at home: laptops have been offering their own gaming versions for some time now, coming to mount high-quality and powerful components in tiny spaces. We tested the ASUS ROG G752V S, the high-end laptop of the seriesRepublic of Gamers , capable of competing with the best desktop gaming PCs, on the market at a price of around € 3200.

Packaging

ASUS ROG G752VS is sold inside a gray and red box, capable of containing the laptop, power cables and various documents useful for the first start. The notebook comes with a satin gray body , accompanied by orange / gold finishes , which together give a not exactly sober look to the piece. Yet it can afford it, also thanks to the LEDs positioned in the central logo and behind the large ventilation grill:  ASUS ROG G752VSwants to call itself the best gaming laptop, and flaunts it well. Once opened, the notebook displays a 17.3-inch FULL HD screen and an adjustable red backlit keyboard, along with five macro keys, a key to start recording your gameplay and a comfortable and intuitive trackpad.

Testing

The laptop during this test month has accompanied me practically everywhere: from being able to work in it in comfort at home, passing on real trips, ending up in a work session or game in a local, the ASUS ROG G752VS has only two slight defects : weight and dimensions. Its size (due to the components and the screen) and its weight do not make it a comfortable travel companion to carry around. Despite this, its dimensions are very small, the thickness is not such as to be bulky once opened.

Having overcome the problems of space, we are talking about a laptop that mounts an I7 7700HQ and a GTX 1080, with 16GB of RAM: it is difficult to find a game that gives a hard time to this jewel . We tried games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , one of the best CPU-killers of this period, and the experience is fluid and dynamic even at maximum details; prolonged sessions are not tiring thanks to the size of the screen , and playing online titles such as Diablo III or Overwatch is fulfilling and satisfying.
