Acer has revealed a series of suites and products designed for content creators. These include SpatialLabs and the new ConceptD line

During the Acer Global Press Conference , the company showed the new line dedicated to contet creators: ConceptD . There are many improvements introduced inside these new machines that we show you here in detail.

Acer Notebook ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 5 Pro

Designed for 2D and 3D design, the ConceptD 5 notebook is made entirely of metal and features the new 11th generation Intel Core H-series processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 laptop graphics . ConceptD 5 Pro is available with two different video cards, the NVIDIA RTX A5000 or the NVIDIA RTX A3000 laptop GPU , to meet the needs of content creators who demand premium performance.

The notebook with the A5000 RTX GPU gives professionals the ability to use ray tracing and artificial intelligence even in the management of large rendering, 8K editing and heavy workflows with multiple applications. The power and storage needed to handle 4K video, multiple monitors or 2D and 3D rendering applications are guaranteed by the ability to install up to 64GB of 3200Hz DDR4 memory and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD in RAID 0.

Complementing all this power is a beautiful 16-inch (3072 × 1920) PANTONE certified 3K display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with Delta E <2 color accuracy. The notebooks include several options to facilitate connectivity: dual USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support, an HDMI 2.1 port and a slot to read SD cards (SD7.0).

The ConceptD 7 Ezel convertible notebook

The ConceptD 7 Ezel notebook is the spearhead of the lineup dedicated to creators. This model is equipped with the powerful 11th generation Intel Core i7-11800H processor alongside the high-performance NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 laptop video card . Also available is the ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro which offers the Intel Xeon W-11955M processor and an NVIDIA RTX A5000 / A3000 laptop video card; it is perfect for content creators who need very high performance for all types of professional applications.

Equipped with an SSD of up to 2TB and up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM , this configuration is the ideal choice for creators managing large files and multiple applications at the same time. Another important feature of the ConceptD 7 Ezel is the brilliant 15.6-inch PANTONE – certified 4K touchscreen display , which covers 100% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. Also present is a Wacom EMR pen, much appreciated by artists for its precision when tracing drawings, sketches, animations and 3D modeling.

Acer ConceptD 3 Notebook and ConceptD 3 Ezel Convertible

Acer has also updated the entire Concept D3 notebook range with the convertible 14-inch notebook and the traditionally designed notebook. Also available are the Pro, ConceptD 3 Pro and ConceptD 3 Ezel Pro versions , featuring the Intel Core i7 processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.6 GHz and the NVIDIA T1200 laptop video card . All ConceptD 3 versions may include Intel Core H-series processors and will be shipped with various graphics options to meet the diverse needs of creators. All models include a PCIe Gen 4 SSD and a power-enabled Thunderbolt 4 port for super-fast charging.

The convertible models include the innovative Acer Ezel hinge, which allows you to use the notebook in various modes, as well as a touchscreen display and an AES pen. All notebooks feature a PANTONE-certified FHD (1920 × 1080) display that covers 100% sRGB color coverage.

This new line of products will be joined by SpatialLabs , a new suite designed specifically for which we will reveal all the details.

Presenting for the first time on a ConceptD notebook, the SpatialLabs suite combines a stereoscopic camera with eye tracking, a stereoscopic 3D display and
real-time rendering technologies to offer developers a new way to interact with their projects. The content will literally take shape on the screen and will allow creators to observe their projects in 360 degrees and in real time, without having to wear dedicated glasses. Acer also announced the SpatialLabs Developer Program for Unreal Engine developers interested in designing with SpatialLabs.

The combination of a stereoscopic 3D display, real-time rendering technologies and eye tracking allows you to create and live the SpatialLabs experience. Eye-tracking is achieved through a stereo camera located on the top of the device that tracks the position and movement of the user’s head and eyes. Thanks to the graphic processing technology, each image is thus doubled and processed for each eye of the user, creating a stereoscopic 3D effect that allows the project to be able to float in front of the screen.

SpatialLabs allows developers to see their projects come to life in real time . Historically, artists had to make multiple drawings and from different angles to ensure their characters were properly proportioned. With the introduction of computers this process has been simplified but, since it is difficult to judge the three-dimensional aspect ratio on a 2D screen, the development of the project was mainly based on the judgment of the designer. With SpatialLabs Model Viewer you get a new dimension that designers can work with, eliminating the limitation of aspect ratio and offering an intuitive 360-degree perspective.
