A belly diet, Dr. Mosley’s new diet
Michael Mosley , the famous doctor, journalist, writer and psychiatrist who a couple of years later became famous with the method of the Fast Diet or 5: 2, is back in the bookstore with his fourth book , The Clever Gut Diet , a new intestinal diet, indeed, a diet for the stomach like many in fashion now. More or less from last year, you too may have noticed the tendency to talk about intestinal microbiota, intestinal bacteria and gut health has taken over in Italy too, with many books translated or written in Italy that all focus on the same principles:
– a thin person differs from a fat person also by their intestinal bacteria
– intestinal health and metabolism are linked.
What is special about Mosley’s Belly Diet compared to everything previously written?
First of all, Mosley’s recipe for well-being is in an integral Mediterranean approach: therefore a Mediterranean diet like the Greek one is the key to well-being. The doctor explains that it is not important to focus on fermented foods or superfoods for health or thinness, but to eat a diet as natural and varied as possible: one of the rules is precisely to eat a new food or two every week: a new vegetable , a new cereal and so on. The food variety in fact improves our enzymatic profile, while many intestinal problems arise not only in people who have a diet rich in industrial products and poor in natural products, but above all in those who, without realizing it, never change their diet.
To understand if you too make this mistake, just think locally of your weekly cart:how many things have you already bought a week before?
These are very important aspects for having a healthy gut and a good metabolism.
