The world of GPUs has always been very vast and varied, and for the average user it is very difficult to understand which video card is best suited to his needs. Thanks to these reviews, we at Game Legends will therefore help you make a more informed decision that can effectively guide you to the right purchase. So let’s go today to talk to you about the MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Armor, a GPU with great potential that aims to undermine the excellent MSI GeForce GTX 1080 thanks to slightly higher performance and a much cheaper price. So are you ready to find out what we think about it?
Packaging
Externally the product comes with the classic MSI packaging that can comfortably and safely contain the video card. On the box we find the MSI logo in plain sight, along with the NVIDIA certifications, while inside we find the GPU, instruction booklets and a black MSI-branded envelope containing promotional postcards and a nice comic.
Design
At first glance, the MSI RTX 2070 Armor gives a not indifferent feeling of solidity . The differences from its predecessor, the GTX 1070 Armor, are obvious and overall this new card features a much more attractive design. Very nice the screen-printed backplate that shows the company logo and a white dragon and that protects the fragile components. There is also LED lighting that can be controlled by the user through the Mystic Light Engine software, but which, if not in use, can be completely disabled.
Given the size, the MSI RTX 2070 Armor occupies two slots and features an HDMI port, three DisplayPort ports and the new Virtual link USB connector.

Performance
During gaming sessions the MSI RTX 2070 Armor offers really excellent performance with resolutions up to 2K , but struggles to maintain 60 FPS with higher resolutions, if not making compromises with the graphics settings of the game. Those who want to expect a little more from this card can also go towards an Overclock of the chip, a procedure that does not affect the stability of the GPU thanks to low temperatures even at full capacity (the maximum we detected is 63 degrees). If instead we analyze the noise of this card we can only be amazed: in fact, even at full speed the fans of the MSI RTX 2070 Armor do not produce annoying noises, but rather turn out to be really silent., thus allowing us to enjoy our favorite video games in complete peace of mind.
Price
You pay for quality, and MSI knows this. The GeForce 2070 Armor is in fact sold on Amazon for 517.49 euros but offers really good performance, even slightly higher than the excellent MSI GeForce GTX 1080 , also sold by the e-commerce giant at 613.15 euros. It therefore becomes an obligatory choice for all those who want to get the most out of 1080P or 2K resolutions , without however going towards 4K, unless you want to come to terms with the graphics settings.
