Eat fruit and vegetables ten times a day

According to research from University College London, eating fruit and vegetables would do well in the legendary five portions , but would do much better if we ate as many as ten .

People who eat at least seven servings of fruit and vegetables a day (over a kilo, since per serving is not necessarily a hundred grams) have a 42 percent lower risk of dying prematurely from disease or ailments. The important thing is that it is fresh.

Canned or frozen fruits and vegetables do not have the same effect , according to the study they are not at all health enhancing.

Now, we have always been told that fruit and vegetables were good for us, but that a massive consumption of fruit and vegetables could save us from the risk of many diseases should make us reflect on all those terrible diets that prohibit the consumption of fruit and vegetables every day.

Five portions a day (less than half a kilo of fruit and vegetables) are not enough , and raise your hand if you consume them every day. Few, huh?

Making sacrifices to lose weight is possible, but you have to ask yourself if it is worth putting your health at risk by choosing a diet only protein or without fruit and with little vegetables, now that we have yet another confirmation that eating more vegetables is so good.
