Food without gluten, and without quality
It was understood for some time that many gluten-free or gluten-free products , which have now become fashionable for weight loss and not only for those with gluten intolerance problems (celiac disease), were actually small time bombs for blood sugar . , and it wasn’t just me who wrote it. Indeed, you can see it for yourself, simply by going to the supermarket. Among the ingredients of many baked goods and sweets, gluten and modified starch or wheat are missing, which without too many needs abound in other industrial food products, but the downside is given by the ingredients in place of gluten, starch and wheat : rice and puffed rice or rice syrup(high glycemic index: yes, rice milk is also to be avoided); corn, puffed corn and corn syrup (high glycemic index); cereals such as millet (high glycemic index, although undoubtedly the healthiest choice), protein poverty converted into excess sugar or fat or rice protein (aridaje).
Also note this: instead of having ten ingredients or eight or twelve, the gluten-free baked product has twenty. Unmissable salt and syrups, but not only: according to the shocking survey by the Consumer Reports National Research Center, which has collected the samples of many gluten-free products, the excess of often refined rice present in almost all of these products exposes those who consume them to an undernourishment of iron and folic acid in exchange for, just think, percentages too high in arsenic. Yes, arsenic. In general, the survey shows that while many people who have eliminated gluten from their diet without necessity believe they can thus improve digestion and metabolism and therefore lose weight, in fact many gluten-free products are fattening, in the face of excess substances antinutrients, additives of all kinds, a higher percentage of sugars and fats.
And many are not healthy at all. If the celiac has to eat gluten-free (but hopefully they have a greater knowledge of gluten-free grains), people who think they are losing weight and improving their health by simply leaving some products to buy others are wrong, they are literally switching from grilled pan. The alternative? Vary your diet, natural cooking , choose natural products.
