Dr. Farnetti’s detox meal

Dr. Farnetti’s detox meal

A detox and quick meal that we can prepare if we have exaggerated at the table in the previous days, on Mondays as a “detox lunch” or as a daily compensation meal if, for example, we plan to overeat at dinner.

From an idea of  nutritionist Sara Farnetti , specialist in Internal Medicine and expert in Medical Functional Nutrition , this quick detox lunch can be composed of two poached eggs (they are the lightest cooking method in the kitchen, but if you can’t prepare them in shirt, make them hard-boiled without overcooking them or in a pan in a non-stick pan) with a plate of escarole sautéed in a pan with a little oil or olives and chilli plus a medium-sized kiwi. If you don’t like escarole, opt for grilled courgettes and a vegetable dip with a drizzle of raw oil.

For those wishing to know more about functional nutrition, I suggest Dr. Farnetti’s book:

An alternative to this detox meal? Also from the advice of Dr. Farnetti, you can prepare a plate of strips (or morsels) of chicken stir-fried with a little oil, vegetables and greens such as endive and fresh ginger with grilled radicchio.
These are two strategic options to reduce belly swelling and restart the intestine and liver, but also low in calories and satiating thanks to the mix of vegetables and proteins. Both of these dishes have a total of 300/400 calories for an average portion.
