Dr Delabos starter diet to lose 8 kg per month
I had already told you about Dr. Delabos , and his “chrononutrition”, or a dietary approach in which we basically eat certain foods at certain times of the day to lose weight in line with our circadian rhythms. Alain Delabos is in fact a French nutritionist, director of the European Research Institute of Nutrition, known for being the first to have talked about chrononutrition and inventing a slimming method different from all the others.
The principles of Dr. Alain Delabos were then developed in the Starter diet, a diet that would allow you to lose 8 kg per month and which in fact lasts only 4 weeks, which is then followed by a maintenance plan.
Let’s see how the Starter Diet works point by point.
Before starting, a small clarification: this method is good for all those who do not work shifts at night, therefore who rest at night and work during the day.

Starter diet: the rules
- There are three main meals a day plus a snack.
- The plan is not suitable for vegans.
- The diet is very digestible but does not have a high fiber content.
- You can lose 6 to 8 pounds in 4 weeks.
- Portions should be calculated based on their initial weight according to Broca’s formula .
- In the maintenance plan these rules are maintained but the quantities are reviewed.
- It includes all foods apart from milk, you just have to pay attention to the times of the day in which to take certain foods.
- 30 minutes of daily physical activity (including brisk walking) are essential.
- Not good for people with type 1 diabetes.
