What to eat out if you are on a diet
I have already written a similar article, but after last evening I could not refrain from reiterating some concepts: I was sitting two tables away from a guy who was babbling at the waiter to keep us on the line (it did not seem, but anyway ‘), and that therefore he wanted to avoid the buffalo mozzarella on his salad plate. Sacrosanct I would say, right?
Too bad that while waiting for the salad, the guy took out the whole bread basket in less than a minute. All.
In short, have you ever noticed that when you make a rigorous choice, then it turns out that without even realizing it you take out the bread basket? Or the icing on the cake? Some time ago a journalist was out for lunch with one of her friends: she ordered a hamburger (the sandwich) and the horrified friend instead got a mega smoothie (a smoothie with fruit, sugar and ice). Which of the two do you think made the wisest choice? Incredible but true, the journalist.
If you don’t want to go wrong, and find yourself making a “pro” diet choice and then sighing in front of your neighbor’s pizza, listen to me and these three simple tips.
– The meal must be balanced and as moderate as possible in size:useless to eat the mega tagliata with fries when you could do better by ordering the steak with mixed salad, half a potato in foil and maybe two or three spoonfuls of guacamole.
– Go to a place where there are many options: if you choose to eat out with an aperitif, go to a place that has a satisfying aperitif. If you’re hungry and they only bring you potato chips and pretzels, it’s normal to end up gorging on the wrong things.
To these three things add a shrewdness in the choice: avoid NOT food. Refined food, frozen food, ready-to-eat and fried food.
For the rest you have my blessing.
