Vegetable chips, the light snack!

Have you ever tasted vegetable chips? They are a very light snack if you make them at home, definitely to be avoided if you eat out. Reason? Although they are baked, they are often seasoned too much with palm or sunflower oil, and the calories are not few, they exceed three hundred every hundred grams: finally, the bags have prohibitive costs. Instead, making vegetable chips at home is really very simple and fun. 
Obviously you must have an oven to hold at 200 °, and an adjustable vegetable mandolin: the secret of the vegetable chips lies in the subtlety of the vegetables. Here I will explain how to make them without oil.

First you need to choose the vegetables. The best are, apart from potatoes:
– courgettes and aubergines
– black cabbage
– beetroot or carrots
And if you want to make some fruit chips, opt for apples and bananas.

Here’s how to season them to make them excellent without practically using oil.
Zucchini and aubergines: once cut into very thin slices, they should be well dabbed with absorbent paper, then placed on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. At this point, sprinkle them with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, and add, optionally, one of these mixes:
– sesame seeds and paprika
– chopped fresh mint, dehydrated onion and pepper
– turmeric, chopped parsley and Himalayan salt

Black cabbage: it is fine natural, but the parchment paper in this case should be oiled with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Salt and pepper the leaves, separating them and never overlapping them, before putting them in the oven.

Red turnips or carrots: once reduced to chips, they should be well dabbed, and sprinkled with a vinaigrette consisting of 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, a tablespoon of olive or coconut oil, a pinch of garlic powder. They should then be sprinkled with plenty of powdered rosemary.

Cooking in the oven: for the vegetables, from 200 to 250 ° for about 15 minutes.

Apples and Bananas: Can be flavored with a mix of ginger and cinnamon powder or cloves and cinnamon. Apples should be dabbed, bananas sprinkled with lemon juice. Baking in the oven is different. The oven remains at a maximum of 130 °, the fruit should be cooked for at least an hour or two.
