Vegetable burger from The Recipes of Happy Well-Being
Today I suggest you a delicious recipe for DIY veggie burgers : the reason? Preferring homemade veggie burgers is a way to avoid those from the supermarket, often full of fat and with added flours and various additives. All things that undoubtedly make them delicious in flavor, but unhealthy (to find out more with an analysis on the ingredients of the vegetable burgers bought, click here ).
I really like veggie burgers, especially when they are DIY. Often they can be made with legume flours, seitan or tofu, and are a protein alternative suitable for both vegans and vegetarians and for those who want to reduce animal proteins.
This time I propose this healthy and tasty recipe taken from “The recipes of happy well-being” , a facebook page that offers healthy, vegan or vegetarian recipes, often with wholemeal and top quality products. Here is the recipe, it’s really easy:
VEGETABLE BURGERS OF CHICKPEAS AND DRIED TOMATOES (from The recipes of felice Bene-essere)
Ingredients:
240g of cooked chickpeas
40g of dried tomatoes
1 small already boiled potato
Basil
Pepper
Wholemeal corn flour
Procedure: Soak the dried tomatoes in hot water for 1 hour to rehydrate them and remove the excess salt. Blend the already boiled chickpeas, together with the dried tomatoes, the already boiled potato, the basil, and add a pinch of pepper. Form the vegetable burgers, pass them in the corn flour and bake them at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes with a drizzle of oil. If you want to see the final result, click here on the original post.
