How to use WhatsApp Web on iPho
Here’s how to proceed:
1. On your computer , open website.whatsapp.com . You can use any browser to access the client (in the example I use Chrome), but WhatsApp recommends using Google Chrome, Opera or Firefox.
2. Open WhatsApp and open the Settings menu . Then click on the WhatsApp Web entry .
3. Your iPhone should automatically scan. Alternatively, in the WhatsApp Web menu, click on “QR code scanner”.
4. Align your QR code with the QR code displayed on the WhatsApp Web site that you have opened on your computer. Once aligned, you should see a pop-up on the screen confirming the successful installation.
5. Done! Now you can send and receive WhatsApp messages and access all media (including voice notes!) Directly from your computer.
Alternative: Download the WhatsApp app for your computer
There is also an alternative to use WhatsApp Web with an iPhone:
- Download the WhatsApp Web app from this site: www.whatsapp.com/download/
- Install the application and scan the QR Code as per the previous procedure
This way you can have the WhatsApp icon on your desktop and log in more easily.
Some useful information for those who use WhatsApp Web
WhastApp Web synchronizes both notifications and deleted messages. So, for example, if you have 3 notifications and you read them from your computer, they will disappear from your iPhone screen.
WhatsApp Web will also display chat notifications whenever you receive a new message. This possibility is very useful, but only if you are not using a shared computer.
Alternatively, you can turn off notifications . From the WhatsApp Web interface, go to settings (the three dots) and then to Notifications. Here you can turn off both the notification pop-up and the ringtone, or alternatively you can turn off notifications for a specific period of time (one hour, one day or one week).
