Turmeric cold detox tea

How to take advantage of the benefits of turmeric and ginger in an ordinary iced tea? Here’s how to do yourself good without big sacrifices of expense and amaze your guests with a very special iced tea, a detoxifying, draining tea, useful for the liver and for those on a diet. It is in fact a spiced iced tea, which combines the benefits of tea (you can do it with green tea), those of spices that are powerful anti-inflammatories, help the intestine, regulate and improve digestion, are detoxifying.

First of all, you need to prepare the spices: in a saucepan with half a cup of water, boil 2 to 4 teaspoons full of turmeric powder for ten minutes. Stir as soon as it starts to boil and let the water condense. You will get a bright orange paste. In fact, by boiling turmeric it is possible to assimilate curcumin . 

Separately, make a liter of green tea. Once it is cold, mix the turmeric paste with the tea, perhaps in a pitcher with a resealable lid or in a bottle. Add slices of two organic lemons or limes and the juice of one lemon, plus two or three 2cm pieces of fresh ginger and fresh mint if desired.

Infuse the bottle of tea with lemons and ginger for at least one day in the fridge.
The next day, strain the tea into a clean bottle and voila. Your spiced tea is ready to drink and serve with a little ice.
Remember to shake the bottle every now and then to avoid spice sediments.
