Trocosis, lower back pain and gym

Trocosis, lower back pain and gym

Hi everyone, I have been having pain in the lower back for some time , especially in the morning as soon as I wake up. I state that due to my work I sit at my desk 8 hours a day and I go to the gym for a bit of muscle growth (but I don’t lift too much weights). Because of these pains, I took an x-ray whose response was trocosis, with the possibility of scoliosis. The radiologist told me that it is a congenital thing but not being a doctor I just wanted to know if this problem is incompatible with the gym or a bit of gym and stretching can help. And finally, if I get rid of this pain (it has lasted for a month and I haven’t been to the gym for a month) I should take some medication. Thanks for the reply

Hi, Mr. Vincenzo, it is definitely a posture problem, so stretching can help you a lot, some massage to loosen the cervical-lumbar muscles, postural work will do the rest, maybe you can find an instructor in the gym you already attend or a physiotherapist. good evening

Vincenzo, go to a good massage therapist who will be able to give you specific exercises to improve your personal situation as well as give you a fix! You practice pilates together with relaxing but specific massages and leave the gym for a while, which will gradually resume modifying the work you are currently doing. Regards. Cinzia Zedda

Don’t give up on being active, Vincenzo. Just take great care and be followed by a good osteopath who will guide you in postural prophylaxis. Trocosis can give muscle tension, at least for the moment I would suspend fitness in the strict sense (hypertonic exercises, so to speak), as Cinzia suggests
thanks to all / and … I am only worried about the continuous pains as soon as I wake up and the fear (or paranoia) that a nice hernia may come down … I hope that’s not what you say? I add and conclude by saying that I also have a slight form of hyperlordosis

Dear Vincenzo, perhaps you should go for a visit to a posturologist and with your radiological tests and with the material in your possession establish a therapeutic plan for you in a perspective centered on your life characteristics. Some attentions and some strategies will surely help her to improve her quality of life and also of her free time. Greetings elena fossati
