What are Tibetan bells

They are called bells but in reality they look like bowls of various sizes – in fact in English they are called ” Tibetan bowls ” –  generally brass-colored, which are made to ring with a kind of cylindrical wood that resembles a mortar pestle. Said thus it seems simplistic: in reality these objects with an extremely simple shape hide very ancient origins and potential .

The Tibetan bell is in fact an ancient musical instrument originating from the shamanic culture of pre-Buddhist Tibet which vibrates, thanks to percussion and rubbing, the sound Om, the mantra of infinity .

The best Tibetan bells are made from an alloy that includes the seven planetary metals: silver, iron, mercury, tin, copper, lead and gold .

It is no coincidence that the musical notes are also seven , as well as the Chakras. Their diameter varies from a few centimeters up to thirty and more; the firing pin is made of wood or bamboo, covered with chamois leather or boiled wool.

These static bells can be used both for sound meditation , for particular rituals or for therapeutic purposes, as the practice of sound massage teaches.

What are Tibetan bells for?

The Tibetan bells , vibrating at a particular frequency, go to restore balance where it has failed.

If the orgasm has been “altered” in its most intimate and subtle vibrations by situations of heavy stress or trauma , and this is also found physically and emotionally, then the Tibetan bells can be useful to restore harmony in the disturbed frequencies of the person. .

Energy blocks, deep somatizations, interrupted communications : here is that the Tibetan bells can benefit those who need to find their psycho-physical balance.

How Tibetan bells work

Through their natural physical vibrations, Tibetan bells generate a harmonic sound that can benefit the body, spirit and mind. The melodic-vibrational passage occurs through contact, by rubbing or by percussion of the bell during the sound massage .

The physical vibration and the sound go to produce a real vibrational massage that reaches even the most remote areas of the body, melting and caressing it gently. Those who undergo a session of Tibetan bells with professionals in the sector generally recognize that they experience a regenerating and beneficial sensation, of profound peace and widespread relaxation .

To enjoy the beneficial effects of the bells, you can also take part in the so-called “sound bath” , whereby these instruments are made to resonate without direct contact with the body.

How to benefit from Tibetan bells

The results that are able to perpetrate thanks to these ancestral tools, can be found in various aspects: a more serene mind, improved sleep, metabolism and digestion that are rebalanced, emotions that flow freely, the spirit relaxed and relieved .

Today Tibetan bells can be found quite easily, they are also produced in Nepal, China, Korea and Japan; the Tibetan ones remain the most valuable and sought after. It would be advisable to search for them and buy them locally, even if today it is possible to find them easily online; their price ranges from 50 euros for the smallest, up to 300 and over.

A one-hour sound massage session with Tibetan bells costs around 40/70 euros.

Recent studies, for example, read the Abstract in Sage Journals, a journal that deals with evidence of the effectiveness of alternative medicines, show that people who have undergone this type of therapy have found less tension, anger, fatigue and less predisposition to depressive states.
