And finally, to lose weight, according to an experiment conducted on mice, the last of the series: scientists from Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical Schoolthey would publish their results in the journal Cell .
The extract of the herb Tripterygium wilfordi, called ” celastrol” or tripterin , would in fact be a powerful natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant: the researchers used Celastrol in the treatment of obesity in a group of mice, and covered that this extract would act on leptin , the appetite hormone, increasing its effect and thus reducing hunger with a sense of satiety. In short, it would act as a hunger suppressant, making you feel full already, and would have led to a 45% reduction in obesity in rats. At the moment this is the only study that has investigated the effects of Celastrol, but testing on human volunteers will soon be underway.
