The things a good personal trainer should NOT do
Today I finally have the time to write this article that I had in mind for a while, especially because, after having toured four gyms in the last two years, having talked to a few personal trainers, having been followed by two online personal trainers , and, last but not least, having collected testimonies from some of my readers, I felt the duty to make certain clarifications about the work of the personal trainer.
In particular, I would like to focus on what a good personal trainer should never do in my opinion (and in two cases also according to the law), thus answering some questions you ask me after having lived unpleasant experiences in the gym.
On Dcomedietawe have often talked about how important physical activity is not only to “burn more calories”, but also to increase lean mass at the expense of fat, improve your metabolism and health in general.
However, even today many people join the gym and run away a few months later.
On the one hand, it is undoubtedly the fault of a series of missed expectations, in particular for weight loss.Â
On the other hand, the fact that the room instructor is not necessarily a personal trainer, therefore he does not follow us personally, but at the most he passes us some generic training cards, therefore only partially will respond to our needs, with the logical consequence that we should put our ingenuity and attitude to train properly.
But here are the things that you should NOT expect from a good personal trainer or from an instructor in the room.
