The seven types of hunger you need to know how to recognize

Learning to decipher and recognize one’s hunger is very important, because hunger is both a symptom and an important signal: any of us can understand when we are hungry, since the consequence is to have a desire for food, and not, for example, for water or heat or sleep.  On the other hand, the difficult thing is to recognize when the hunger that comes to us is not a natural consequence of wanting to break a fast and wanting to feed as a necessity . For example, if we have already eaten, and after two hours we are hungry again, or on a full stomach we feel like we want something specific, then we are faced with situations not attributable to a real need. There are in fact seven types of hunger (some say eight, some say four because they combine the like). Below I’ll explain what they are.

THE SEVEN KINDS OF HUNGER: LEARN TO RECOGNIZE THEM TO EAT BETTER (AND LESS)
1) The visual watering:
it is that kind of hunger that comes at the sight of a well presented dish, or when we pass in front of a showcase of delicacies, or still in some departments at the supermarket. It reminds us that we are demanding people, and that we love to see beautiful dishes to eat. If it often comes out of context, it is time to review the diet: we probably cook really unattractive things for ourselves, while presenting the dishes with love and creativity is the secret to also limiting visual hunger.
2) The olfactory water:
it is that hunger that strikes us when we smell food. There are some people who are more sensitive to odors. If these people suffer from excessive hunger, learning to use the sense of smell to sate themselves is essential. For example both in the kitchen, using fresh aromatic herbs that make the dish more palatable, and between meals, using smells that deter food, for example grapefruit oil or mint.
Let’s be clear, in cases 1 and 2, it is normal that when we see something we like or when we smell something good, you snap a little water: however there are people who allow themselves to be influenced a lot by these factors, so getting to know each other better helps to take advantage these peculiarities as resources.
