The Scarsdale diet to lose 5 kg in 2 weeks
If you are looking for a way to lose weight quickly and in a week or two, try the Scarsdale diet.
She’s in her 40s, but it’s one of the most effective flash diets around.
I personally tried the Scarsdale diet about twenty years ago for the first time, when it was still one of the most popular diets. I also read the book of Dr. Tarnower, the inventor of the diet.
However, there are some considerations to be made about the Scarsdale diet, and as always, inform your doctor before trying it.
SCARSDAL DIET: HOW IT WORKS.
The Scarsdale diet does not last long in what is often referred to as the “shock phase”. The bulk of the results can be obtained in two weeks, followed by a maintenance phase for those who want to. In fact, the classic plan lasts 14 days.
With maintenance no weight is gained.
Compared to other flash diets, the Scarsdale diet allows you to eat some carbohydrates and therefore is easier to follow. The Scarsdale diet, with that slice of wholemeal bread in the morning, the presence of fruit and vegetables from day one, is more balanced than many lightning diets.
The maintenance phase does not queue up, and this is the main problem of lightning diets. You switch from a regimen in which you reduce calories and many foods to one in which you return to “a normal diet”. Big mistake, considering that the normal diet you go back to is the one that made you fat.
The Scarsdale diet works to lose 5 kg in 2 weeks, and can be done in an omnivorous or vegetarian version.
In this article we will look at the classic 15-day version, which is omnivorous.
Compared to other diets, the Scarsdale diet is also low-calorie, so you lose some weight because your body burns its stores of sugar and fat and a little because you eat less, with a nice cut in calories as it provides around 1100- 1200 calories per day. If you follow the diet without cheating, weight loss is assured.
In theory, you lose about half a kilo per day. I would say, more humanly, that it is useful as a diet for those who want to lose a size in two weeks. That is from four to five kilos. And it is already a rapid weight loss.
