The potato diet is the light and normal version
The potato diet is a weight loss and monothematic regimen that really works, although it is not recommended to go beyond three or four days of dieting. There are two versions.
The first is the 3-day flash, the second is a normal version that allows you to lose half a kilo to a kilo per week by observing only 2 very simple rules and nothing else.
WHAT THE POTATO DIET CONSISTS OF
The diet is simple either way.
In the first version it consists in eating only potatoes all day , more or less a dozen medium-small potatoes of one and a half or five / six pretty large, with a teaspoon of olive oil or butter once, for example only one once a day, and then garlic and herbs, a little salt or pepper or all the spices you want.
Stop. Nothing else. The potato diet is basically a potato-only diet. The only thing NOT to do is eat fried potatoes.
Instead, one thing that is recommended to be done is to eat potatoes complete with peel. Although the potato is a medium / high glycemic index tuber, several studies have shown that it does not make you fat. Furthermore, the potato would have particular polyphenols useful for losing body fat, so much so that they want to market a slimming product based on potato extract. On the slimming properties of this regimen and the success stories I wrote another article that I recommend you to read: the potato trick to lose weight.Â
POTATO DIET: LAMPO VERSION
It is an already known lightning diet: eat potatoes (of all types, even red or purple) all day for three days in a row, drinking plenty of water and being careful to season the potatoes with only garlic, vinegar, little mustard, herbs and spices at will, salt and pepper. As I said, you can eat up to ten small mediums or about six large ones for a total of one and a half kilograms. You can of course drink sugar-free tea or coffee or herbal tea. Finally, in one of the meals you can add a teaspoon of oil.
For breakfast I recommend using sweet potato. You can boil it and blend it with a pinch of stevia, a pinch of sea salt and cinnamon and you will get an unexpectedly very good sweet cream.
POTATO DIET: VERSION TO LOSE 1 KG A WEEK
This is the simplest and most feasible and you can do it until you have achieved the weight results you want.
It only has two rules.
The first rule is that at dinner (better at dinner) you only eat two boiled potatoes with aromatic herbs, lemon juice, spices to taste and garlic if you want, without eating anything else until it’s time to go to bed.
The second rule is that in the middle of the morning and mid-afternoon you can eat only 150 grams of red fruits of your choice (or strawberries) or 1 low-fat yogurt of 125 grams. Breakfast and lunch are free.
Again you will lose weight: from half a kilo to a kilo per week.
