The new weight loss product sucks the food out
While I feel compelled to give this news, given that in Italy we still don’t hear about it, I understand well the overseas ironies of those who have heard for the first time about this new weight loss product , a surgical medical device that literally aspires to that. that you eat, making it disposable.
Shocking, right? Imagine a kind of intestinal aspirator that has its own “chamber” where you can insert the food that you have ingested in excess, a kind of external bag: the aspirator sucks up the extra food, puts it back in this space which can then be emptied into the toilet .
It kinda sucks, yes, and it’s been approved by the FDA. The American media called it disturbing.
Here’s how it works: through a minimally invasive surgical procedure, a tube is inserted into the intestine, connected to the outside through a closable channel that acts as a link between the external tube and an internal bag. After half an hour from the meal, the bag is connected to this channel (which would emerge from the belly like a button), the device is turned on, and 30% of our meal is rejected in the external bag through this intestinal suction tube. Bag which then empties.
This new weight loss product while ready to be used in the medical field has left many experts in shock.
Some say it’s terrifying and drastic, others suggest the danger of people eating even more.
Of course, if you ate as usual, this tube would allow you to cut 30% of the calories ingested.
But it’s not free from side effects and has so far only sparked controversy.
