The Mediterranean diet of prof. Calabrese: the menu

With all the confirmations that the Mediterranean diet is having, one cannot fail to mention the prof. Giorgio Calabrese .

Although he is often accused of being “too soft” in regards to food and too “flag” and omnipresent in broadcasts, he has on his side the fact that he has always defended the validity of the Mediterranean diet, from which he has almost never departed . And he has centered his food philosophy on moderation at the table.

It is true, Calabrese does not attack sugar, it also lets you pass a little Nutella. But his advice is always excellent advice, and almost all refer to the Mediterranean diet and a varied but stress-free diet.

Less food restrictions and more quality of food, a diet in which you can eat a bit of everything to avoid feeling deprived, stressed, and have a balanced diet.

Calabrese is therefore right, and it is better to follow what he has been preaching for years, than not stressing about the fads of passing diets. For this reason I recommend the book that came out in 2014, Losing weight with the Mediterranean diet .
I recommend it because it explains very well why you get fat: it talks about hormones, the differences between lean and fat mass, the dietary changes in recent years.

Why do more and more studies give it a winner, and then why, let’s face it, how many of us follow the true Mediterranean diet? On page two we see Dr. Calabrese’s Mediterranean diet with the rules.
On page three an example of a menu: in the book you can find others.
