The ginger and mint herbal tea from Vivere Più Sani

A ginger and mint herbal tea to drink even cold , useful as a detoxifier, an adjuvant to healthy digestion and highly anti-inflammatory: it is a recipe that I found on Vivere Più Sani and I tried after meals for a few days. Result? A flatter stomach and much better digestion . I drank it cold but depending on the season it is also perfect warm or hot (avoid drinking it iced or hot: both these temperatures are a little shock for our intestines!) And personally I sweetened it with a little honeydew honey , a superfood for our intestine, remineralizing and useful for strengthening the immune system.
Here is the recipe for the ginger and mint herbal tea from Vivere Più Sani!

GINGER AND MINT HERBAL TEA: DETOXIFYING, ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, DIGESTIVE
Ingredients for 4 cups:
– a piece of fresh ginger (recommended!), Washed and just cleaned of the peel, or alternatively: a level spoonful of powdered ginger.
– a handful of fresh mint leaves or a tablespoon of dried mint leaves
– a liter of water
– a heaping tablespoon of honeydew honey (or other honey of your choice, preferably organic)

Hot method: Boil the ginger in water and then cold add the honey and mint to infuse.
Cold method: Blend ginger and fresh mint in a cup of water with honey, pour the mixture into a jug and add the remaining water. Keep the drink at room temperature.

Dose: one cup (200 ml) of herbal tea after lunch and dinner. With a splash of lemon, it can also be drunk first thing in the morning, before coffee and any solid food, to facilitate intestinal motility and help the body get rid of nocturnal toxins.
