The Fast Christmas Diet: Lose Weight By Eating
Worried because the holidays can ruin your line? Well, from this year there is something new. It’s called the Fast diet or intermittent fasting , and it promises what it delivers without ruining your health. Ideal for Christmas, because in the days that follow or precede the binges we can maintain ourselves so as not to pose problems at the table during the holidays. That’s why in the United States this diet , born by Dr. Michael Mosley and journalist Mimi Spencer at the beginning of this year, and of which a summer version was already made, is now back in a big way for the Christmas period.. We will thus be able to eat and lose weight by stimulating the metabolism to burn our Christmas binges: the only sacrifice required is to stay at the table on Fast days, which can coincide with days that are not strictly festive. If we simply want to avoid getting fat, just do the Fast diet days on December 23 and 27 , eating on the 24, 25, 26 as much as we want, and sticking to a normal diet on days 22 and 28 (at our discretion). Or the fast diet days 27 and 28 , even easier because they come immediately after the three most intense days before New Year’s Eve.
In the Fast days, which must be two a week to stay in shape or three a week if we want to lose a little weight despite the binges , women only have to consume 500 calories and men 600 calories a day. These days, our body, accustomed to greater quantities of food, will tend to burn as much as possible, more than in a normal diet. This will allow us to dispose of everything we ate during the holidays in the days between Christmas and New Year. In short, the Fast or 5: 2 diet is ideal for this period . You can manage the 500 or 600 calories as you like. I give you an idea.
Here is a typical scheme:
Breakfast:a slice of wholemeal bread with a spoonful of sugar-free jam or two wholemeal biscuits such as shortbread, coffee or tea without sugar (80 cal).
Snack: a clementine (25 cal)
Lunch: a salad of lettuce and mixed pickles (I recommend not in oil) with a teaspoon of oil (tot. 100 calories), plus a medium boiled egg (70 cal) and a sugar-free herbal tea.
Snack: a clementine (25 cal)
Dinner: 100 gr of natural tuna with 300 gr. of fennel in a salad with vinegar and a teaspoon of oil, a cucumber, a draining tea without sugar, a diced dark chocolate.
This for women: men can add 50 gr. more natural tuna for dinner and an extra egg for lunch.
Instead of lunch you can opt for a portion of minestrone without potatoes and legumes, seasoned with a teaspoon of oil.
Just follow this diet for two days, which is easy if you binge the previous day, and the problem of extra pounds between Christmas and New Year won’t be yours 😉
