The diet of prof. Berrino
I have already told you about prof. Franco Berrino in some articles, but now I have decided to summarize in a post the points in common of many of his interventions and books on a healthy diet. This is so that they are of help to you, so that it is clear what it means to eat healthy and correctly.
Let me start by telling you who Dr. Berrino is: he is not a dietician or an oncologist as we often read, instead he is an epidemiologist, in a strictly oncological field. And he is a firm believer that diet is the first weapon for cancer prevention. For this reason Franco Berrino is considered one of the most authoritative voices we have in Italy on nutrition.
From here there are many his interventions, in particular, regarding what we eat. We can roughly divide them in two directions.
- Food that makes us fat.
- What is bad for our health.
Obviously the two things often go hand in hand.
In this article I will focus on the recommendations of prof. Berrino for a healthy diet, which however is not limited only to a healthy diet, but also to exercise.
According to Dr. Berrino, in fact, our body is made to move.
Even those who follow Berrino tend to underestimate this.
The more we move, the better we are, the fitter we live.
If we don’t move, we tend to get fat, and even if there are those who think they can solve everything with diet, the key to living better is the combination of healthy living and healthy eating. Healthy living is a life on the go
