The diet by morphotype: lose weight according to your physical constitution
Although especially in the world of fitness we talk about a diet by biotype (not to be confused with the biotype diet, a type of diet similar to that of the blood group: the definition of biotype is in fact a bit too general) or diet by morphotype , that is diets and workouts calibrated according to the physical constitution of a person (and therefore targeted and personalized advice), it is not very easy to bring our constitution back to the traditional patterns of morphotypes, and it is a bit the limit of this method.
The diet by morphotype (or by biotype, or by somatotype) takes into account the physical constitutions of the subjects according to the classifications developed by both ancient and modern doctors , from Hippocrates to Galen to Sheldon. There is also a branch of medicine, biotypology, which deals with constitutional types.
Depending on the constitutional type we are closest to, some dietary and training guidelines should be followed to lose weight more easily. The problem is that depending on how close we get to a precisely identified constitutional type, the advice will more or less fit our case.
Today I summarize what the differences in food and training are according to the mortophile that is closest to you.
How can we come to understand which morphotype we are closest to?
Two methods are what I recommend, besides a mirror exam.
2) The relationship between height and wrist measurement: a quick calculation to identify our bone constitution (not the only one, mind you) is to divide our height in centimeters by the centimeters of the wrist.
Let’s see how to use this information to lose weight.
