For some, the drink works thanks to the synergy between caffeine, theobromine and chlorogenic acid, an antioxidant substance belonging to the polyphenols of which coffee is indeed very rich, which in some studies had been studied for its slimming power, and the vitamin C contained in lemon juice.
Although all of these ingredients exist, it is not clear how lemon juice can enhance its effectiveness.
