The chemical diet of 28 days to lose 8 kilos
The chemical diet or Hamdy diet is ideal if you want to lose weight quickly and in a healthy and effective way. In fact, it allows you to lose even 3 kg in the first week, but must be followed for a minimum of 28 days. After the first week, one to two kilos are lost in the following weeks, up to a maximum of 8-9 kilos per month.
Due to its duration it has a broader menu and includes a maintenance phase.
In fact, it should be repeated one week a month (the first) to maintain results, while in the remaining weeks only a few common sense rules are followed but you can go back to eating in a more varied way.
The chemical diet was developed by a doctor, Osama Hamdy, and is often referred to as the Hamdy diet.
Dr. Hamdy is director of the Joslin Center in Boston, a center specializing in the treatment of diabetes and overweight through a diet with natural carbohydrates, lean proteins and low fat.
Obviously it is important to hear from your doctor before following you.
But it is undoubtedly a diet that has criteria that also explain its name, although losing so many kilos in a short time is an idea that most nutritionists and dieticians are against. Others as I explain here are in favor.
This diet is so called because it is based on the chemistry of foods, and in particular on the combination of meals and their nutrients, to make you lose weight. Foods cannot be changed beyond the permitted variations, and the diet can be continued for up to 3 months. Then you have to move on to maintenance.
Another important thing: always remember that the indicated kilos are an average, there are those who lose more but there are also those who lose less. Let’s see features and menus.
THE CHEMICAL DIET or HAMDY DIET TO LOSE 3 KG IN 7 DAYS
The menu is characterized by a scheme and for some foods there are variations that allow you to have different weekly menus.
Breakfast for every day except for the third week
A glass of water. A peach of 200 grams or 200 grams of pear / plums or 160 grams of orange / grapefruit / kiwi. 150-200 grams of yoghurt or skimmed cottage cheese. Bitter coffee or bitter tea or with stevia.
The largest amounts in grams are for men, the least for women. The weight is raw food net of waste.
