Ten foods obese often eat
That our eating habits lead us to gain weight without realizing it is a fact: this is the reason why we end up with a weight of up to five kilos simply because, at some point, we started eating disorderly . And also because we favor foods that increase our body weight, even if they do not satisfy us much and if they look harmless or even healthy. Often these are things that we buy ready-made or whose energy value we cannot accurately know , but they seem to us all in all healthy. – Croissants, bagels, some types of bread and muffins: do you eat some of these foods? They even reach 400 calories, because they are heavy in mass, meaning they weigh as much as one hundred grams and are loaded with fat. Maybe we order them at the bar, or like bagels, we find them in kiosks or on offer in some supermarkets. Some scones also weigh in caloric terms. They are not a quick breakfast because they are not filling and they are not a snack.
– The spreadable cheese: the “whole” version hurts because it is too fat. The various philadelphia of the case are a real attack on the line. But also the light version to which a little sugar or salt must be added to increase the flavor is to be avoided. They are very versatile, but they are a meal. And they increase insulin by being dairy products.
– Fruit juices and smoothies: there are all types on the market, from a multivitamin to a fruit-based drink that seems light because it is in mineral water. A real sugar bomb, zero nutrition. But the worst is smoothies, a kind of velvety smoothie with fruit and ice. And a lot of sugar. Take them at the bar, they are very warm.
– Cookies:each biscuit contains about 50 calories for traditional shortbread biscuits. But the big ones, like those with American chocolate chips, or pieces of nuts, have over double the calories. To be avoided absolutely, also because it is difficult to say ENOUGH.
– Salad dressings: they look light, lighter than mayonnaise. Instead they contain oil, mayonnaise, a lot of salt. Once a rarity, they are now available everywhere. Don’t buy them.
– The bars: cereal bars, fruit and nut bars, bars with less than a hundred calories and obviously “important” bars such as Mars. Here the question of calories does not matter. They are all sugars that immediately convert into fat because they immediately raise blood sugar.
– Coffee:espresso coffee does not contain calories, but when you go to the bar, by now at any bar you will find cappuccino with soy milk, mokaccino, large coffee flavored …, etc., latte macchiato and so on. Often the milk is whole or even sweetened, the sprinkling of cocoa or the spoonful of Nutella or the hazelnut-flavored syrup make coffee caloric. Very caloric.
– Cheese : it is a protein food, but it is also fat (it contains saturated fat) and we must limit it just like red meat. We have to taste cheese once and above all buy it once. Always keeping it in the fridge for a quick snack or a quick second is stupid. See spreadable cheese.
– Potato chips, dehydrated vegetables, kale chips: Today even kale chips and dehydrated vegetables, similar to potato chips but naively healthier and less caloric, are a small dietary trap. Of course, the worst are the chips and we agree: high glycemic index, fat, salt. A bomb. But don’t underestimate the oil and sodium content of their new sisters…
– Refined cereals: obese people consume too many. According to some surveys, even in third world countries, especially South American ones, the obesity rate has reached worrying levels.
