According to a Thurrot report, Spotify has started testing a new feature, which will allow us to block an unwanted artist and all their songs from our application. According to the information in our possession, this new feature would prevent the app from showing us the artist’s tracks that we do not want to listen to, excluding them from any playlist (including custom ones), as well as from the radios. The action is however reversible, so if the user changes his mind, he could easily unlock the artist again manually, by accessing the settings menu or on the appropriate page. 

Many can already use the new Spotify feature , by clicking on the dots in the alt right, on each artist’s page. At this point just select the option “do not play this artist”, to no longer see his songs appear in the suggestions or in our playlists.
