Soluble fiber for weight loss
According to a new study, they are always there to promote weight loss, prevent us from gaining weight and reduce the risk of metabolic syndrome: fiber, and in particular soluble fiber. In fact, it is not the first study, this from  Georgia State University , to establish that a diet based on soluble fiber would reduce weight accumulation and the risk of developing conditions related to obesity, or metabolic syndrome. Previous studies had in fact established that those who ate at least 30 grams of fiber per day tended to lose weight, regardless of the type of diet chosen (and without counting calories). According to researchers from Georgia State University, a diet low in soluble fiber would cause an impoverishment of the intestinal flora, and the tendency to fatten the mice involved in the experiment. If, on the other hand, the mice ate foods that contained soluble fiber, the first improvements were noticed after just two days on the new diet.
The soluble fibers, also called viscous, would nourish the healthy intestinal flora , favoring a flat stomach and regularity.
Where can we find them? In oat flakes (which we can eat in the morning in the form of porridge : here’s what to know about one of the healthiest breakfasts there is and its advantages if you suffer from a swollen stomach), in lentils, peaches, walnuts.
