Slimming Smoothie: Eating Well’s effective formula

How to get an effective weight loss smoothie ? The Eating Well website suggests applying this formula to personalize our smoothies and always get a drink that is useful to replace a meal and at the same time 100% nutritious. In this way we will be able even at the last moment, with the ingredients we have at home and above all with the seasonal ones, to obtain an easy meal replacement for lunch or dinner and also to take away. 

SLIMMING SMOOTHIE: THE EATING WELL FORMULA

1) half a cup (so about 125 ml) of liquid of your choice between water, vegetable drink, coconut water, skimmed cow’s milk
2) 1 frozen banana in pieces (about 100 g)
3) half a cup (150 g) of frozen fruit in pieces (of your choice: my advice is to focus on red fruits) or 100 gr of avocado
4) 1/3 scoop of protein of your choice (vegetable or whey or egg) or, for those who do not have the protein powder, the advice is to use skimmed milk in the liquid part and to add 100 ml of pasteurized egg white cooked in a saucepan with 100 ml of water until it becomes white (always stir and turn off before boiling): the mixture is then left to cool and blend together with the ingredients. Otherwise: 170 grams of low fat Greek yogurt or low fat quark.

5) a cup of green leafy vegetables including rocket, spinach, lettuce, watercress, endive. Alternatively, well 200 g of fennel or cucumber or celery or 100 g of previously boiled broccoli or 100 g of raw carrots

Personalization: in this way you get a smoothie from 250 to 400 calories (in case you use avocado) valid as a substitute meal. You can customize it with spices such as ginger and cinnamon, add stevia for sweetening or flavoring. The portion is about two glasses, therefore always very filling and super creamy. If you also want it frothy, just add a few ice cubes.
