Slimming and low glycemic index centrifuges

Slimming and low glycemic index centrifuges

Whether it is for the summer or not, slimming juices are a trend destined to last: however, behind smoothies, smoothies and centrifuges there are often hidden pitfalls for the line that we can avoid with a little forethought. In short, if we take slimming juices, the aim is to lose weight, perhaps replacing them with other snacks that have nothing to do with health. But when these juices have a high glycemic index, they are comparable to any snack. The reason?
There are two reasons: on the one hand, the absence of fibers typical of centrifuged increases the glycemic index . The characteristic of many foods that have a low glycemic index is the presence of fiber, which avoids the blood sugar spike precisely because it counteracts amylase by reducing the absorption of sugars.

In centrifuged, there are no fibers. This can be overcome by making smoothies, but clearly the centrifuged juice from an extractor preserves the vitamin and mineral salts supply better (clearly, not in equal measure and not for all vegetables: see tomato) and therefore it is seen by many as a healthier alternative. The second reason is the type of vegetables we are going to use: if we make fruit-only centrifuged , for example, the glycemic index will be higher than the intake of the whole fruit, and will be medium-high.
In a fruit then the glycemic load has a lot of weight: if I eat an apple it is an account, if I drink 250 ml of apple juice its impact on blood sugar will be twice as high, and so will its load.
Let’s see how to solve the problem to make slimming juices with a low glycemic index.
There are two rules:
– use 2/3 of vegetables and 1/3 of fruit: for example, lettuce and watercress are perfect vegetables for centrifuged and can be a prime example of vegetable for a centrifuged. Watercress in particular has slimming properties. Celery, fennel and cucumbers are purifying, moisturizing and draining and can be eaten raw. Raw carrots are a natural stress reliever and promote weight loss in those who suffer from nervous hunger. These are the vegetables to be preferred, or finally some well-ripened tomatoes.
The third fruit can be: a very ripe orange, a pear (excellent for covering the flavor of stronger vegetables such as celery), an apple, a peach. Tropical fruit is fine, as long as it is fresh: papaya or pineapple are excellent choices for those who want to get slimming juices.
– associate a quantity of fat with the centrifuged:how? For example, adding two tablespoons of coconut milk (the real one, not the coconut-flavored drink that is improperly passed off as milk), or a tablespoon of chia seeds to ready-made centrifuged, which will give the centrifuge a denser consistency. A spoonful of crushed flax seeds is also good. The calories will be about fifty more, but these fats are useful to further reduce the absorption of sugars and to assimilate fat-soluble vitamins (vitamin E, for example).
The addition of spices that improve blood sugar, for example cinnamon and cloves, or antioxidants such as ginger, will perfect our slimming juices. A few examples?
– watercress, celery (or fennel), pear and ginger with coconut milk
– lettuce, carrot and apple with cinnamon and chia seeds
