Six foods from the organic shop that you should definitely try

Not everyone loves organic and, I must tell you the truth, at first buying food in organic shops depressed me a lot: they were often expensive, many organic biscuits and snacks then seemed tasteless to me. In spite of the fact that many things have changed in my life and I have also learned them by getting to know better the vegetarian and vegan diet (as a non vegetarian) to stay fit and lose weight, there are still things that I buy in a normal supermarket that are not. I would buy in an organic, or that I find both in the supermarket and in the organic (fructose or stevia). But there are six things for which organic is the best choice for me , six things that can improve our life, our diet, our health and above all our relationship with the scale. Here they are:
– ghee (and other sources of fat): it is an Indian clarified butter , without proteins and almost without lactose, with excellent anti-inflammatory and digestive characteristics that make it the ideal substitute for normal butter. It allows you to cook and fry at high temperatures, while butter does not. However, it is more caloric than butter, let’s say similar to oil. It is also perfect for desserts. For those who already easily renounce butter and do not look for substitutions, find excellent vegetable oils in organic: hemp oil, linseed oil, etc.

– the tempeh: if the tofu puzzles you, why not try the tempeh? You will tell me, okay, but it is always a derivative of soy. Yes, but it is a sort of fermented tofu, very useful for the bacterial flora, an excellent source of protein but with zero fat. A key food for metabolism.
– quinoa and whole grains : organic is the kingdom of whole grains and derived baked goods, many with a low glycemic index. Why choose them organic? Because the integral part of the grain must be preserved from the action of pesticides, or it will do more harm than good.
– integral salt: integral salt is the unrefined variant and rich in mineral salts, instead of normal table salt. Here too, that it is organic is essential.
– vegetable milk:if you want to try to avoid eating milk and dairy products, organic is the place for you. Oat, hazelnut, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk, brown rice milk, etc. You can find all these alternatives strictly sugar-free, while in traditional supermarkets you really struggle to find non-animal milk without a share of sugar and even salt.
– the mix of oilseeds : oilseeds are healthy fats, they are good for a lot of things, they lower cholesterol, the important thing is not to overdo it. A handful in yogurt, raw, or on soup or roasted vegetables.
