Seven ways to speed up your metabolism

Seven ways to speed up your metabolism

Is it possible to act on our metabolism to burn more ? This is what John Berardi says  , a great piece of blue-eyed son with black hair, who in life could be a model, instead he is a nutritionist and personal trainer, and is co-founder of Precision Nutrition , as well as author of a book,  The Metabolism Advantage , in which he explains  that by changing our diet and lifestyle we can burn up to 500-600 calories per day more. No, of course without grinding to the gym for three hours or engaging in a football match. According to the handsome author, you can naturally lose up to five pounds in two months without a diet, simply by reviewing the way we eat. Here are seven tips from his book to speed up your metabolism right away :

1) Have a good breakfast: to increase your metabolism you need to start with breakfast, which must provide 22 to 55 percent of the daily calories. Other than our ten percent! The author recommends an omelette of one egg and two whites with vegetables, red fruits with yogurt and oats for breakfast.
2) Drink coffee or tea : as long as you don’t overdo it, during the day it is good to drink drinks that stimulate the metabolism, such as various types of tea, including green tea, or coffee.
3) Drink eight glasses of cold water : starting in the morning, drinking cold water pushes the body to thermogenesis, to return to the starting intestinal temperature. The important thing is to make it a habit.
4) Choose natural, whole and organic products:additives and preservatives, the addition of salt, glutamate and sugar in foods and poor quality of nutrients make our metabolism slower and digestion slower. This is why it is important to eat natural foods as much as possible, without industrial processing and at zero km.
5) Eat balanced : Make sure you eat a good amount of protein at every meal. and not just carbohydrates. This will allow you to spend a few more calories in digestion and lower the glycemic load of the meal, preventing the excess sugars from turning into meat.
6) Sleep at least eight hours a day: try to rest as much as possible to increase your circadian rhythms, regulate yourself and boost your metabolism.
7) Take fatty acids:eating avocados, flax seeds and other oil seeds, walnuts, hazelnuts but especially fish. Your share of fatty acids must never be lacking to increase metabolism and ensure that vitamins and minerals are absorbed more. If you don’t eat enough fish. then under with the omega3!
