Seven great reasons to go to the gym

New Year New Life? If you are those skeptics of good, better habits, take at least one, even if you are no longer thirty years old, think that by now it is too late to remedy a physical and health conformation, diets with you do not work and you seem not to have time. Go to the gym. I know how difficult it is, for people who are a little shy and in any case not used to frequent the world of fitness, to go to the gym. Most people make an effort, the series changes from today, in January, close to summer and September / October. Speaking with an instructor he will confirm that these are the times when there are more patrons in the gym. But this also means one thing. People are not constant. And he thinks that going to the gym is an emergency lane, often the last resort: I go there for a while, I don’t see the results I expect, I give up. Just the other day, while I was finishing training in the gym, I heard a lady jokingly threaten a personal trainer: if I don’t lose weight this time, you won’t see me anymore!
Well, too bad it does NOT work that way. If you want to go to the gym, you need to know these seven things, which are also seven great reasons to join and not get tired.

SEVEN EXCELLENT REASONS TO GO TO THE GYM
1) It’s something to do for yourself: the first thing to realize is psychological; doing activities is something we do for ourselves, for our well-being and for our health. So the first reason we go to the gym is for ourselves, to get better. Not a waste of time, not a coupon for perfect fitness. A way to take care of us and our health.
2) It’s the only way to change your body composition:doing the gym or any physical activity is the only way to increase lean mass, toning and defining muscles at the expense of fat, unlike dieting alone, where to make up for the calories lost, the body first attacks the reserves of muscle glycogen. Result? The balance goes down, but so does the metabolism. Having a really lean physique means having more lean mass. 3) It is a natural antidepressant: physical activity is a natural stress reliever , and the release of endorphins would help reduce the risk of depression. Furthermore, for many people, doing physical activity helps to disconnect from the routine and manage anxiety. 4) It increases bone density, reducing osteoporosis: the merit would be of the so-calle

sports hormone , a recent discovery. This hormone counteracts both osteoporosis and high cholesterol.
5) Because it allows you to be constant: going to the gym is often a matter of organization, rather than lack of time, but it works much more than trying to do activities at home or walking or carving out half an hour a day for any activity. Not that these don’t work, but the moment it is up to us to find the motivation to do push-ups in the bedroom or go out for a walk, the times we say “today, no” will tend to increase over time. And we will tend to be sedentary.
6) Because it has a wide offer:the courses that a gym can offer you allow you to experiment, and more easily find something that is right for you. But if you don’t have a clear idea, talk to the instructors and then decide.
7) Because a sedentary lifestyle is bad for your health: being sedentary has recently been defined as “the new smoking”. A sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular problems.  For this reason, choosing a physical activity and being constant can only do us good.
A last but not least tip concerns women, and their body image: Going to the gym often prompts women to change their perspective on what’s good for their body. Thinness, often obsessive, is gradually replaced by the thought that being strong and healthy means being beautiful and attractive, in the wake of “strong is the new skinny”, an expression that means, paraphrasing “being strong is the new way of being, instead of just thin “.
