Sara Farnetti’s 3-week diet

Released in the magazine Starbene , the 3-week diet of Dr. Sara Farnetti, one of the best nutritionist and internist I know in the field of proper nutrition as well as a specialist in functional nutrition, is a regimen that allows you to get back in shape with the right food combinations and say goodbye to winter excess pounds by alternating not one but three slimming regimes : a detox regimen (first week), a reactivating regimen (second week) and a rebalancing regimen (third week). In this article, of the whole 3-week diet I will only illustrate the first week regimen, the detox one, then giving you directions to follow the other two weeks.

THE DETOX WEEK
From Dr. Sara Farnetti’s 3-week diet, here is the detox week. I tell you: it’s a tough week, useful for those who have really exaggerated in recent months and have not yet decided to go on a diet. As you can see, the first day is practically green, only with vegetables or almost.

MONDAY
Breakfast: pinzimonio ( fennel, cucumbers, carrots, celery with oil ) and 15 gr of macadamia nuts or pumpkin seeds
Snack: a vegetable centrifuge ( here I indicate a recipe )
Lunch: mixed salad with a spoonful of seeds or half an avocado + steamed or stewed vegetables
Snack: 15 gr of dark chocolate (about 3 cubes ) or a vegetable centrifuge
Dinner: like lunch
Herbal teas and tea without sugar can be drunk freely during the day.

TUESDAY
Breakfast: 50 gr of toasted bread with a teaspoon of oil + a ginger juice (obtained by putting in the extractor a whole organic lemon with the peel, 3 cm of fresh ginger root, half a glass of water, 10 basil leaves ). Alternatively, a ginger tea is ok.
Snack: 1 apple
Lunch: 200 gr fillet of sea bream cooked with oil, crushed garlic, ginger and parsley at the end of cooking; sautéed chicory, a kiwi.
Snack: 1 low-fat yogurt
Dinner: 1 raw fennel; chicory sautéed in a pan with garlic, oil and chilli; 150 gr boiled beans dressed in salad with celery and 5 olives
