Rotation of carbohydrates for weight loss according to Chris Powell
I have already dealt with the Carbs Cycling method , which is a way to lose weight by alternating carbohydrates in our diet .
Rotating carbohydrates is an effective way to lose weight as long as you can exercise, even for a few minutes.
You have to eat a lot of carbohydrates on some days and avoid them on others.
This carbohydrate rotation method is used successfully by some personal trainers and nutritionists with their clients.
You train on the days without carbohydrates, in theory because on the days with carbohydrates you rest and replenish your muscle glycogen stores, while when we exercise we tend to burn fat because in those days we do not eat any type of sugar.
So we can say that Carbs Cycling or carbohydrate rotation works both to enhance the effect of a workout and to increase metabolism and lose weight.
On days we don’t eat carbohydrates, the body tends to demand the same sugar / energy load as on the carbohydrate days.
One proponent of this method is Chris Powell , whom we saw in The Biggest Loser as one of the coaches of the contestants.
In his book Choose to Lose , Powell illustrates not one but four different types of carbohydrate rotation.
