Ribes nigrum and growth
Hello, I have read that cortisol inhibits growth and I wonder if the growth of my 13 1/2 year old son who is 147 cm tall could have been influenced by him taking ribes nigrum (and therefore his adrenal glands are stimulated to produce cortisol) for a couple of months a year from the age of 5, as a cure for pollen allergy. Thanks and best regards, Emanuela

Hi, currants in general should not be taken for too long periods precisely due to the fact that it stimulates the adrenals and makes them fatigued. However, I cannot give you the certainty that it affected the growth of the child. However, I recommend an alternative method to prevent allergies which consists of an intestinal cleansing (80% syst, immune is found in the intestine), alongside an intake of Echinacea and vit. C. which strengthen the immune defenses, especially the aerial ones. If you are interested in more precise information, I offer the possibility of online consultancy. I greet you hoping to have been useful.
