PLAYSTATION VR 2: A TECH DEMO SHOWS THE POTENTIAL OF THE NEW VIEWER

A video published by some SIE employees shows the potential that the new PlayStation VR 2 will have on PlayStation 5.

Although it has not yet been announced or shown to the public, we know for sure that with the arrival of the new PlayStation 5 , the virtual reality headset will also have a second chance for rebirth. Sony’s PlayStation VR, despite being an excellent product that can also sell a good number of units, remains a niche product to date.

Today we want to show you a tech demo , published by some Sony researchers, about the PlayStation VR 2 . The video in question, made by Kazuyuki Arimatsu and Hideki Mori, shows the potential and some functions of the PS VR 2 prototype. The technology uses a very high detection system that allows you to track every single movement of the fingers of a hand with extreme precision. Thanks to this device we can therefore see perfectly functional hands, capable of interacting with practically any type of surface and grasping various objects with different degrees of pressure based on the force we use in each single finger. Furthermore, Sony has not used any type of external sensor, making this new technology truly pioneering.

We all know that the first model of PS VR will be compatible with the new PlayStation 5, however Sony knows that the technology used in the past may be too obsolete, which is why the Japanese company is looking for a new quality standard that, at least for the moment, it looks really futuristic
