Pineapple: properties and health benefits
Pineapple has always been considered the fruit par excellence to be included in the diet. Pineapple is a sweet, colorful and delicious fruit, which has a sugary and refreshing taste that makes it one of the most popular fruits. The pineapple diet has also been popular for years. It helps to keep the stomach flat and cleanses the body. Its properties are surprising and promote well-being at all times of the year. The pineapple diet is part of the fast diets list because it only lasts four days and we can repeat it cyclically, after a month. This is because, despite being a simple and easy to follow diet, it must be part of a balanced diet
Pineapple: source of vitamins
The benefits of pineapple are undeniable, but in general there are no foods that have specific characteristics for burning fat. If pineapple is a true nutritional treasure and its richness in vitamins, potassium, phosphorus and polyphenols makes it an exceptional fruit, this does not mean that it makes you lose weight. Bromelain is able to break the amino acid bonds of proteins, thus favoring digestion, but does not exert any specific action on fats. The only slimming resources available to pineapple are the low calorie content, 57 Kcal per 100 grams, the high water content, about 80%, and the good availability of fiber, which favors the sense of satiety. Some clinical studies have shown a slight anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect, i.e. reduction of water retention, of bromelain, which, however, let’s remember it is almost completely contained in the stem and not in the pulp. For this reason, bromelain-based food supplements are a concentrate of this enzyme extracted from the fresh stem.
