Following the presentation of some Philips and AOC monitors that we had the opportunity to view in Milan, I became curious about the possible presence of a dedicated monitor that could be in line with my needs, and speaking with the staff present I had the chance to try one that meets the characteristics of sRGB and Rec. 709. This is the Philips 328P6AUBREB , a high-end screen dedicated to designers and photographers.
Packaging
The monitor is located inside a large box (obviously given its 32 ”) with all the necessary protections and all the specific compartments for cables, manuals, and documentation concerning the object. Inside there is also the pedestal to be assembled, initially divided into two parts. The assembly is simple and intuitive, it will only require a screwdriver for the 4 fixing screws. Once the monitor has been positioned and the cables connected, it is ready to use.
Design
Elegant design , black finish with contrasting inserts, and pedestal with a sinuous and practical design. Usb-C allows you to have all cables sorted and connect the laptop via a single cable. All the proposed rear doors are retractable, while touch keys are incorporated on the right side of the edge of the screen. Thin and minimal, it enhances the 32 ”.

Performance
To fully test the monitor I set myself a few points: photographic post production , Color grade video , vector video creation , and source video feedback . Using both digital cameras and photographic film scans, it is very important to me that the colors are as real as possible, and the ability to shoot and view the same material with a coincident profile is essential. I was very impressed with the fidelity of the images on the screen and even small post productions proved to be accurate. I also started from some video shots in Log and then transformed into Rec 709, in order to later apply some Luts;once the material was processed, the images turned out to be excellent and in line with my requests . As for the creation of dedicated vectors, all the feedback from the screen passed the tests .
USB-C
A very precise monitor also in the organization of the cables, with its docking station incorporated via USB-C. This has a power release that will ensure you connect your PC to the monitor with a single cable, simplifying connections by connecting all peripherals, such as keyboard, mouse and RJ-45 Ethernet cable, to the monitor docking station. At the same time that you use your monitor with all the peripherals connected, your laptop will recharge.
Screen
The screen is very practical, you have the possibility to decide the directionality of the same , both horizontal and vertical. if you have to post-produce portrait or architectural photographs, he is perfect, as well as in the creation of posters or vertical graphics. The monitor has a 32 ”screen, and the stand is stable and with a simple height adjustment. The screen also has HDR 600 and 10-bit panel for high-level color rendering. The connections present are: USB-C, 2 HDMI, Display Port, VGA, RJ45, USB 3.1 x 4 and Integrated Audio .
A composition note should be mentioned: since in most cases two monitors of equal size 24 “/ 24” or a small and a large 21 “/ 27″ monitor are used, in this case with 32 ” you can have your entire workspace on one monitor . If you work with video you can couple it with a 21 ”so you have the editing timeline in the large monitor and the prewiew in the small one, and then reverse the work areas when you need to post produce the final image.
Price
The price of the Philips 328P6AUBREB is about 600 € , considering the technical specifications this expenditure of money is perfectly in line with what you will get (USB-C, adjustments, and above all the 32 “).
