Peta Bee’s Ice Diet for super metabolism
Last year there was a lot of talk about the Ice Diet , a diet that consisted of congesting the stomach by eating ice: the body burned more energy due to the effect of thermogenesis, or in the effort to restore the basal temperature , and this allowed to lose weight. It was not a great idea, that of Dr. Weiner , however the new book by Peta Bee , an award-winning British journalist and nutrition expert, is called The Ice Diet , and in theory it exploits this discovery of ice as well as the discovery of other foods that stimulate thermogenesis and allow you to raise your metabolism effortlessly .
More than a book of diets,The Ice Diet by Peta Bee is a book to lose weight by burning more energy , creating a state of diet-induced thermogenesis and the environment.
If The Ice Diet is not the book that will change your life, it is true that on this last point Peta Bee is right.. Our way of life is becoming more and more “artificial”, our body is getting lazy. We fear that the gust of wind could cause us a cold, we cover ourselves too much in the winter, we drive around with the air conditioning of the cars in the summer. This does not allow our body to self-regulate with respect to the external temperature, and is a major disadvantage in terms of metabolism. For this reason, adopting some simple strategies allows us to burn more effortlessly, and train our metabolism:
– We go out in any weather for a walk, and in general we try to live more outside the home than indoors.
– We avoid air conditioners, air conditioners, boilers.
– We often open the windows in the house, in order to have a healthier and less spoiled temperature.
– We avoid going around the house too covered.
– We avoid hot drinks when it’s cold, and hot showers.
– Let’s not get used to the air conditioner when it’s hot.
– We try to do outdoor activities rather than gym indoors or at home.
– We eat hot and spicy.
– We eat ice cream, especially if artisanal, and drink cold water from the tap or the fridge.
