Pear-shaped body? The diet for those with big legs
Women with a pear-shaped body seem to be more numerous in the Mediterranean area, from the countries of southern Europe to North Africa, but in general a “pear-shaped body” is morphologically more feminine than masculine.
The fat does not affect the belly, as it accumulates along the hips, butt and thighs, but that is not all.
Pear-shaped women often suffer from more cellulite than apple-shaped women, also for circulation reasons.
Since cellulite is linked to accumulations of fat that stagnate under the skin, it is more difficult to accumulate cellulite on the stomach or on the arms, for the simple reason that it is on the legs that the stagnation of liquids occurs most, i.e. in the lower part of the body.
So the pear body suffers from cellulite more than the apple body.
But it’s not all bad news!
The fat that accumulates on the legs is less dangerous than the fat that accumulates on the belly.
In fact, the latter is the sum of the fat mass of adipose tissue and visceral fat, that is what forms around our vital organs.
So, from a purely health point of view, the pear-shaped physique leads to fewer worries.
But what diet rules must those who suffer from a pear-shaped body follow? And what activities?
