Palmer Luckey , the inventor of Oculus Rift , recently made statements about the PlayStation VR , the virtual reality headset produced by Sony and coming soon. According to Luckey, the headset created by the Japanese company would not be as advanced as the headset he designed, at least on a technical level.
Here’s what the founder of Oculus VR said:
“I have to say that PlayStation VR isn’t as high-end as Oculus Rift. That said, I think Sony’s device is a good headset, but note that PlayStation 4 is nowhere near comparable to a PC with the specs recommended to run Oculus. However, don’t get me wrong, I’m by no means criticizing Sony’s work. They simply decided to focus on a different market, on different consumers and on a different target than ours. Their goal is to bring virtual reality to PlayStation 4 users, a market that we do not consider, console players are not our potential customers. “
