Otitis is  an inflammation of the ear and can affect the inner, middle or outer part. The external one affects the external auditory canal which can be limited or diffuse and is characterized by intense pain, swelling and sometimes pus.

Otitis media affects the mucosa covering the house of the eardrum and can be acute and acute catarrhal, purulent. Inflammation of the inner ear can lead to balance disorders which, if they become chronic, result in labyrinthitis .
