On a diet for arthritis, the Danish experiment
An easy four-month meal plan to relieve arthritis symptoms by acting on weight: this is the hypothesis of the experts for patients suffering from arthritis who have a few extra pounds. In this case, a decrease in weight would coincide with a reduction in arthritis pain by about thirty percent , particularly for those with knee osteoarthritis. In short, a very logical intuition, given that clearly supporting a lighter weight is to the advantage of those who have arthritis problems: in fact, obesity is one of the pathologies most correlated to the problem of osteoarthritis, precisely because it aggravates the symptoms.
The solution? The diet. At  the Parker Arthritis Institute at Copenhagen’s Frederiksberg Hospital, the doctors decided to put all their arthritis patients on a diet with a simple three / four month diet, with the result that those who lost weight then had fewer problems in daily life. What I appreciate little about the news is the weight loss method:
