Although the manufacturer has not yet officially presented the two budget graphics cards NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 and 3050 Ti in the laptop versions, Lenovo would have revealed them during the day today. GPUs have been included as options for the upcoming Legion 5 Pro , and the company has also posted the clock speed, memory capacity and power of both hardware on the official website.
Videocardz captured a screenshot of the spec page before Lenovo corrected the list: now the section simply mentions “ up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 “. As shown in the image, an RTX 3050 Ti is shown with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory , a boost clock of 1,485 MHz and a maximum absorption of 95 watts . Strange as it may sound, the RTX 3050’s specs are strictly identical, however it comes with a slightly higher clock speed.
A few weeks ago the relative and detailed specifications were already leaked : both cards are based on the GA107 GPU equipped with 4GB of 128-bit VRAM, even if the CUDA cores – 2560 for the 3050 Ti and 2048 for the 3050 – do not reach the standard of the more expensive Ampere GPUs. Obviously, also in this case we have based on what is reported by the sources. It would also appear that they will be able to offer Full HD performance at medium settings with a price tag that shouldn’t exceed $ 1000.
This is by no means the first appearance on the net of a laptop equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 or 3050 Ti: in fact, during the past month, Asus had already referred to the card for its TUF Dash F15 , however shortly after having revealed them, the news and the company has removed any mention of it. That said, speculation sees an announcement coming soon, since there has been no official communication so far.
