Mycotherapy for weight loss: 3 medicinal mushrooms to try

Can we use mycotherapy to lose weight? And how?

What are the virtues of medicinal mushrooms that can be exploited to lose weight, on what occasions are they recommended, what are the side effects?

I tell you about it in this article.

MYCOTHERAPY FOR SLIMMING.
THE THREE MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS TO TRY

First of all, as I also explained in this article on Ganoderma , scientific studies on mycotherapy are still few, and in recent times they have generally focused mostly on the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of medicinal mushrooms.

There is a lot of marketing on weight loss itself, so you need to be well informed before buying a medicinal mushroom product.

And above all the quality and seriousness of the producer counts, because the origin and cultivation of medicinal mushrooms makes the difference.

Additionally, there is always a suspicion that dehydrated mushrooms may contain heavy metals , and are particularly contraindicated in those with liver problems ( source ).

The dose must therefore be minimal, and in the form of a dry extract supplement.

And not for slimming smoothies, herbal teas, teas or other products on the market with mixed extracts that can lead to an unwary overdose.

Having said that, I consider mycotherapy to be very interesting.

In my opinion, here are the three medicinal mushrooms to try if we are on a diet and want to increase results, especially if we suffer from some intestinal, hormonal or health problems.

    1. Reishi.

It promotes weight loss in those diets with a high fat content and is particularly suitable for people who have insulin problems.
It works as an invigorating, to restore circadian rhythms and have a restful sleep. Energizing and immunostimulating thanks to the combination of triterpenes and beta-glucans.

The product I suggest is this: REISHI Vegavero .

    2. Turkey Tail or Trametes versicolor.

This mushroom is indicated for those who have problems with intestinal and hormonal disorders, low metabolism and low energy, low immune defenses, with weight accumulation due to these factors. A doctor also considers it effective in the treatment of SIBO, i.e. in the case of intestinal dysbiosis and candida ( source ).
The product I suggest is this:  Host Defense Turkey Tail.

    3. Maitake or Grifola Frondosa.

It is a fungus that improves the metabolism of fats, the metabolic syndrome in particular for high cholesterol and blood pressure, reduces the accumulated body fat thanks to a glycoprotein known as Sx-Fraction, especially in women.
      Also suitable for constipation sufferers.
It also improves insulin sensitivity ( source ).
The product I suggest is this.
Maitake 650mg – Pure mushroom (Grifola frondosa) .

All these mushrooms have an adaptogenic action.
This means that they do not work from the next day, but you will get results after a few days and starting from about a week.
Before using any of these supplements, discuss it with your doctor , and if you have any adverse reactions, such as headaches, palpitations or difficulty digesting, stop the treatment.
